JKSSB likely to conduct Accounts Assistant and Class-IV exams in November


As per the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), India witnessed one among its worst phases of employment in April and should with an percentage of 23.52% and 21.7%, respectively. India's percentage fell to 6 .67 percent in September from 8.35 percent in August, according to CMIE data. The unemployment rates for urban and rural areas in September was 8.45 percent and 5.86 percent, respectively.
The recent survey conducted by CMIE recorded around 6.5 lakh unemployed people within the Jammu and Kashmir with a sky-high percentage of around 15.11 percent as compared to 7.3% in July 2019.
With such distressing trends, the hope for the govt jobs in Jammu and Kashmir majorly depends on Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) and Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC). But the recent developments associated with various posts first advertised over the years then withdrawn by JKSSB left many of us hopeless.
JKSSB recently withdrew around 1,005 vacant posts which were mentioned the recruitment agency by different departments under SRO 202.
A notification was issued by Controller Examination, JKSSB, Jammu, Musheer Ahmed Mirza which stated, "In pursuance of instruction conveyed by the GAD in terms of state order number 654-JK (GAD) of 2020 of June 19, 2020, the posts hereby are withdrawn for referring back to the GAD, for further action."
Scores of applicants were exasperated over this decision as many wouldn't be eligible anymore to use and take exams under new rules.
Besides, around 6 lakh people have applied for Accounts Assistant (Panchayats) and Class-IV posts that JKSSB had notified a tentative schedule which was later described as changeable because of guidelines issued by the UT administration.
A press note was issued by JKSSB regarding the rumours about the delay in examinations during which it had been clearly stated that there are many activities already happening at the bottom level in J&K. Therefore, a holistic view are getting to be taken to form sure secure, smooth and especially fair and transparent examination.
It mentioned that Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board is decided to carry all the examinations during a time-bound manner and release the choice lists with none undue delay keeping with the essence of Accelerated Recruitment drive. the ultimate dates during this regard shall be notified in due course of some time .
Jammu Links News talked to a senior official of JKSSB who clarified that due to certain programmes travel by UT administration, the exams are likely to be delayed and most likely be conducted within the month of November only because the recruitment is being done on a fast-track basis.
He further said that almost six lakh aspirants are getting to be appearing for these exams hence the preparations required for the graceful conduct of examinations need to be done precisely even in remote areas. He also added that JKSSB is decided to conduct exams in November only.
Also, regarding the withdrawal of various posts, he said that the posts are getting to be re-advertised under new recruitment policy which may benefit many aspirants hoping to serve the govt. in several departments.
